Coke - Carmichael cinemas
Company :: Mirada
Role :: C4D lead, texturing, lighting, dynamics
The task at hand was to create photoreal CG of popcorn, coke, and ice in stereoscopic 3D for a commercial that would play before every 3D movie at Carmike Cinemas. Working with partner in crime Casey Hupke, we combined forces in C4D along with Andy Cochrane on Realflow, and Kevin Gillen on Houdini. Maxwell Render offered a universal platform that worked and rendered out of all software packages on the project, delivering a product that looks sexier and tastier than the real thing!
CG, texturing, lighting, rendering, and rigid body dynamics were created in C4D with Maxwell Render. Fluids were created in Realflow and rendered in Maxwell. Bubbles were created in Houdini. Composited in Nuke.
Stereoscopic cameras didn't exist for C4D at the time, so I created one that had a built in anaglyph viewer to preview our work.
